Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of RŌL Progress (the "app"), a training journal and rank-progress tracker for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu students, instructors, and academies. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it, and is part of these terms.

Eligibility and accounts

RŌL Progress is intended for use by students, instructors, and staff at academies that use the app, including RŌL Academy. If you are a minor, your account may be created and used with the involvement of a parent or guardian, consistent with your academy's policies.

You're responsible for:

If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact your academy's admin right away so they can help secure it.

Acceptable use

Please use the app respectfully. You agree not to:

Instructors and admin have access to student training and wellbeing data as part of their coaching role at the academy. This access is intended to support students, not for any other purpose.

Your content

You own the training logs, notes, and other content you create in the app. By using the app, you give your academy permission to store and display that content back to you and to your academy's instructors, as needed to operate the app's features.

Content you post to shared or public areas (like academy reviews) may be visible to other students, instructors, or the public, depending on the feature.

Health and safety

RŌL Progress is a training journal, not a medical tool.

Features like Daily Check-in, Measurements, and injury logging are provided to help you and your instructors track training and wellbeing over time. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and the app does not replace consulting a doctor or other qualified health professional about any health concern, injury, or condition.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and related training carry an inherent risk of injury. Logging an injury in the app doesn't substitute for seeking appropriate medical care, and any training or return-to-training decisions are yours and your instructor's to make — the app doesn't provide that guidance.

App availability

We aim to keep RŌL Progress available and working well, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may need to take the app down for maintenance, make changes to features, or occasionally experience unplanned downtime.

No guarantee of accuracy

Features like Daily Check-in insights, badges, streaks, and progress trends are calculated automatically from what you log. They're meant to be helpful, motivating signals — not precise or clinical assessments. We don't guarantee these calculations are error-free, and they shouldn't be relied on for anything beyond general encouragement and self-reflection.

Suspending or ending access

Your academy's admin may suspend, restrict, or remove access to your account — for example, if your account becomes inactive for an extended period, if these terms are violated, or if you leave the academy. You can also request that your account be deleted at any time by contacting your academy.

Limitation of liability

RŌL Progress is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, your academy and anyone involved in creating or operating the app are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, or any injury or health outcome related to your training.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time as the app changes. If we make significant changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Contact

Questions about these terms should be directed to your academy's instructor or admin — they manage your account and can help with questions specific to your academy.
